This map shows the difference in inflation
adjusted median household income from 1999 to 2005. The dark blue colors
represent +10% & above which only represents North Dakota. The middle range
is represented by a light blue color and a cream color that represent the
majority of the states. The darker
orange color represents -10% & below which represent 5 states on the
eastern side of the country. The majority of the states on the western side of the country fall in somewhere in the middle of the chart. This map is very easy to read, however I wish they would have used more colors rather than shades of the same color because it can be hard to indicate in small areas.
