This picture is a black and
white aerial photo of Rochester. The purpose of this photo was for the author
of this website to figure out what the quickest routes around town were. Here
you can see that this is an urban setting and you can clearly see major roadways
and if you zoomed in you could see more details including smaller streets and
landmarks. Not only could this be used to show different routes, but this could
also be used by developers to show empty lots in an area. Realtors could also
use this map because they could show people what area their house or their apartment
would be in. I think that the
black and white aspect really makes the roads pop out which would have made
this type of photo even more useful for establishing the quickest route, because
you wouldn’t have to search hard to find the roads.
